但卻在小孩四歲時因意外身亡

艾氏傷痛之餘，寫下此曲，以紀念亡兒

後來，艾瑞克萊普頓參與電影「Rush」（台灣並未公映）配樂的編寫

在他的堅持下，這首歌出現在電影中，並成為他有史以來最暢銷的單曲
